Our school life offers a dynamic extension to our curriculum, where the development of the whole child is nurtured through diverse activities and programs.

Our thoughtfully curated cultural events, leadership opportunities, and supportive network come together to enrich student experiences. From the creative freedom of our clubs to the civic engagement in charity work, VMA nurtures a collaborative spirit, fostering responsible citizenship and lifelong learning.

After-School Clubs

Our after-school programs are tailored to extend learning and fun. They provide a nurturing space for students to pursue interests, engage in teamwork, and build leadership qualities.

VMA partners with many community partners to bring these engaging programs to our students. We offer programs in coding, robotics, languages, arts, dramatics and more!

Private Music Lessons

Private music lessons are available for students to cultivate their musical talents. Personalized instruction in various instruments allows for artistic expression and development of a lifelong appreciation for music.

Ukulele, guitar, piano, and vocal lessons are available for students to sign up for starting in Grade 1.

Student Leadership

Student Leadership embodies the spirit of empowerment and agency. We believe in cultivating leadership skills by providing students with the platform and the voice to shape their learning environment and community.

Student Council

Our Student Council is a very active organization of students who play a crucial role in promoting student spirit, and engagement, voice student concerns and ideas, and help build a sense of community within our school.

We are proud to offer this program for students in Grade 2 and above.  

Monthly Assemblies

Our monthly assemblies showcase student-led achievements and expressions. These gatherings bring the entire school community together to celebrate successes, share knowledge, and reinforce our collective values.

These assemblies not only enhance school spirit but also offer students a stage to develop confidence and public speaking skills.

Monthly Outdoor Education

Starting in Kindergarten, our students participate in monthly outdoor education days throughout our community. They spend the day immersed in nature, exploring, wandering, and developing outdoor skills.

Our Outdoor Education Program is designed to expand learning beyond the confines of the classroom, promoting physical health, environmental awareness, and a deep respect for nature.  

Stewardship in Action

We integrate land-based and Indigenous education to inspire students to actively engage in the conservation and enhancement of local green spaces.

Through hands-on learning experiences, we encourage them to become stewards of the environment, fostering a deep respect for nature.

Charity Work and School Fundraising

Our commitment to giving back and community engagement comes to life in our Charity Work and School Fundraising efforts. These initiatives cultivate empathy and global citizenship, encouraging our students to contribute meaningfully to society.

Our students learn the value of giving through active participation in charity events and community service projects. They engage with local and global causes, developing an understanding of their capacity to make a difference in the lives of others.

School Fundraising

Our school fundraising events are more than just raising funds—they're about building community spirit and teaching the importance of social responsibility. These events unite students, teachers, and families in collective efforts to support both our school and various charitable organizations. Our school loves to participate annually in Jump Rope for Heart and the Scholastic’s Book Fair.

Parent Involvement
